🚙 Hot Wheels has released the second series of NFT Garages after the first sold out.
When it comes to die-cast toys and crazy tracks, we've known Hot Wheels for more than five decades. You probably owned one before and there's a huge chance that there's still one resting on your shelves right now.
Blockchain technologies such as NFTs, or non-fungible tokens, have become increasingly popular during the pandemic. NFTs are digitally serialized items that can't be reproduced and can be sold for cryptocurrency.
Through Worldwide Asset eXchange, Hot Wheels has also entered the cryptocurrency metaverse with its NFT Garage (WAX). The first series sold out last year, so the two companies have come back with a few new features for this year's edition.
First and foremost, the Hot Wheels NFT Garage Series 2 now includes 10 licensed vehicle models from the various Mini-Collections. Iconic cars from two automakers have joined the fun in Hot Wheels Car Meet, Hot Wheels Flames, Nightburnerz, and Rod Squad.
The 1991 GMC Syclone, the 1971 Buick Riviera, the 1967 Olds 442, and the 1955 Chevy Bel Air Gasser, as well as the Corvette C8.R, are just some of the GM vehicles up for grabs. The Honda S2000 and Civic Type R, along with the 1990 Acura NSX and Custom 2001 Acura Integra GSR, represent the Japanese side of things.
Custom Otto, Honda S2000, Corvette C8.R, Aristo Rat, and 1955 Chevy Bel Air Gasser are among the Hot Wheels NFT Garage Series 2 cars that can be purchased if the buyer happens to stumble across one.
Series 2 maintains the original four rarity types, with the addition of a fifth called "Show Room," which has a pull probability of only 0.14 percent. NFT cards can be purchased in Series 2 for up to 184,250 total.
On March 31, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. ET, Hot Wheels NFT Garage Series 2 will go on sale and can be unboxed at 4:00 p.m. ET. The cost of a single box of seven collectors NFTs is $25. Each credit card transaction is limited to the purchase of a maximum of four packs.
