Payments giant VISA has introduced a new program to engage and educate artists into the world of new technologies like NFTS. The payments giant comments that NFTs have great leverage potential for traditional artists to level out. Polkally NFT Marketplace is introducing its platform on the same idea as it bridges a huge gap between traditional and digital artists. VISA is going to support and sponsor a group of artists, providing them with counsel and teaching the importance of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.
The announcement came with the hint that the payments giant will partner with former MLB player Micah Johnson, who has delved also into the world of digital arts to be able to project the benefits of non-fungible tokens (NFT). The program aims at bridging the gaps also between consumers and digital artists.
Johnson created the Aku series. He leverages NFTs as a way for reviving an enthusiastic community with his character-based NFT series. He stated;
"NFTs unlocked an opportunity for me to build a community of people interested in supporting my work — in a way that goes way beyond simply liking or sharing."
Visa is one of the many companies that started into the NFT arena this year, conceivably taking advantage of the favor these instruments have attained lately. VISA announced the investment of a Cryptopunk NFT back in August for $165K in ethereum. Cryptopunks is a popular NFT collection in the digital arts market.
